Data Deletion Instructions

You may request the deletion of all data associated with your Instagram Business Account at any time. This page explains the process and what data will be removed.

How to Request Deletion

Send an email to privacy@immigration-observer.ca with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Include the Instagram Business Account username you connected to the service.

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete:

Data Storage Location
Instagram access tokens AWS Secrets Manager
Instagram account metadata (username) AWS Secrets Manager
Post template configuration AWS DynamoDB
Generated images for your account AWS S3

What Will Not Be Deleted

The following are outside our control and will not be affected by a deletion request:

Deletion Process

  1. We verify your identity and account ownership
  2. All associated data is permanently deleted from our systems
  3. Automated posting to your account stops immediately
  4. You receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete

Timeline

Data deletion is completed within 30 days of receiving your request. In most cases, deletion is processed within 7 days.
